Below are some hints and tips, these are to help your party be an Absolutely Magic time for all.

These first few relate to booking an entertainer.

  1. Find out how much the entertainer charges and are there any hidden costs.
  2. How much space do they require?
  3. What do you get for your money?
  4. How much experience do they have?
  5. Are they a professional and can they provide references or testimonial's?
  6. Book early to avoid disappointment.
  7. Do they have public liability insurance?
  8. Have they had a police clearance to work with children?
  9. Do they like children? (you would be surprised).

Next are some of the things that I feel can make your party more fun for everyone.

    1. Shows are better inside. There are a lot of things that can interfere with the show outdoors: the weather, sun in the eyes, wind, noise etc.
    2. Show all the children where the toilet is. I have seen a few little accidents occur.
    3. Although party whistles can be fun, best put them in the loot bags to take home or hand out just before the cutting of the cake.
    4. If it's an outdoor party have a wet weather back up. Even a lounge room with some simple furniture moving will fit most children's parties.
    5. If your party is held outdoors ensure there is plenty of shade. Also picnic rugs or ground mats are a good idea for the children to sit on in case the ground is damp.
    6. Don't feed the children during the magic show as it is a huge distractions for the children and the performer. You want the best for your child's special day!
    7. Name tags help to keep everyone under control. It's nice to call everyone by their name from both the parent's and performers point of view.
